Cappadocia is the old name of an ancient region in Asia Minor. In the 5th century BC the borders of the region were extending from the Black Sea at the north, to the Taurus mountain chain in the South, from Salt Lake in the West to the Euphrates river in the East. In spite of the fluctuations of it's frontiers throughout centuries it maintained constantly it's vital center in the southern zone of the plateau. This land is now roughly corresponding to present day Nevsehir province. The region is in central Turkey, about 700 km South East of Istanbul and 300 km South East of the capital city Ankara. Cappadocia Cave Rooms is located in the very heart of Cappadocia, in Uchisar, 10 km from Nevsehir. The closest airport is the Nevsehir Airport located at Tuzkoy about 35 km from Uchisar. But most airlines fly to Kayseri which is a major town 95 kms from our guest house. If you like to be picked up from any of those airports we can provide you a transfer service. Whether you come from Tuzkoy or from Kayseri your road trip to the guest house is a fascinating drive.
